I mean I hate when girls made everything about themselves and start stealing the spotlight. So I absolutely loved that.Īnd Kat acting all worried over Hale was the icing on the cake. There was a new vulnerability to Hale that Ally Carter had only let us glimpse in the past. I loved that we learned what we've been guessing all along: that his life isn't as perfect as you'd imagine, that his family is one of those you wouldn't want to have, and that his parents are snobs. I adore Hale, he is one of my ultimate boyfriends, but to be honest, we didn't have much information about him from the previous books, except for the fact that he's insanely rich and ultra loyal. I adored that Ally decided to dedicated some time to explore Hale as a bigger character and not just a love interest.

I still gave it five stars because it truly deserved them. I can't really point out why, maybe because there wasn't a big heist in it or maybe because it was just so sad all the time.īut don't get me wrong, I still think it was excellent. However, much to my surprise (and dismay) Perfect Scoundrels ended up being my least favorite of the three. I love that they're a thrill ride, I love its complexity and simplicity. To pull it off, Kat is prepared to do the impossible, but first, she has to decide if she's willing to save her boyfriend's company if it means losing the boy.įebruary 9th, 13. Forced to keep a level head as she and her crew fight for one of their own, Kat comes up with an ambitious and far-reaching plan that only the Bishop family would dare attempt. But Kat won't let him go that easily, especially after she gets tipped off that his grandmother's will might have been altered in an elaborate con to steal the company's fortune.

When Hale unexpectedly inherits his grandmother's billion dollar corporation, he quickly learns that there's no place for Kat and their old heists in his new role. No matter the risk, the Bishops can always be counted on, but in Hale's family, all bets are off when money is on the line. If their families have one thing in common, it's that they both know how to stay under the radar while getting-or stealing-whatever they want. Hale the fifth were born to lead completely different lives: Kat comes from a long, proud line of loveable criminal masterminds, while Hale is the son of one of the most seemingly perfect dynasties in the world.
